Stunning. Elegant. Sumptuous. Lavish. Enthralling.
This entire film is sheer perfection. I have rarely witnessed anything that can compare. Barry Lyndon takes the viewer on a journey of discovery - one that never fails to entertain, shock and enthral.
The lighting techniques alone make this film one of the grandest works ever made - natural candle light filming in 1975 anyone? Each shot is beautifully framed and revealed - a master of cinematography at work.
Barry Lyndon is hard to match up to, let alone think about surpassing.
