A Top Ten film. Splendid. Women may like it but 'chicks' won't, it's full of macho posturing.
Notable for many reasons: the talent (Sturges, Previn, Mellor,Tracy, Marvin, Ryan et al); the economy (81 minutes, one set); the photography (please see it on widescreen); and cinema's funniest savage beating, the scene when Borgnine gets his arse handed to him for dicking around with ketchup.
