Review of Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) by Brett S — 26 May 2011
Kind of cheesy and over the top at times, but considering it's from 1955, it's pretty impressive, overarching social message aside. I might be wrong, but I feel like in the 40's and 50's, blind hatred of Japanese because of what "they" did at Pearl Harbor was perfectly acceptable to many people.
Definitely made me root for the one-armed hero and wish for the "bad guys" (pretty much everyone in the town of Black Rock except for the Doctor and the hotel clerk) to pay.
