Review of Baadasssss! (2004) by Jeff Q — 30 Mar 2008

I think anyone that enjoys watching and reviewing films has thought of producing, directing, and/or writing their own. But, most know the struggles and risk that would come with that endeavor and we sit on the sidelines.

That is why I enjoyed American Movie and Baadassss so much. While American Movie showed how difficult it is to make a movie with little money and too much beer, Baadasssss upped the ante by adding a Hollywood system that wasn't ready for a pro-black film to be made.

Try making a film when you not only have to fight the pocket book, but also fight the system. I found Baadassss is extremely motivational. Don't miss it.
