Review of Baabul (2006) by Radhika N — 01 Feb 2008
This movie had potential in terms of its main message about the nasty state of widowhood in India. But there were too many filler songs and a crappy first half with a bloated Salman. Who considers him to be convincing as a young man anymore?? Too much melodrama with the message in the movie condensed into the 10 minute climax.
I suppose Bollywood is trying to change by making movies with a more relevant message but boyoboy, do they find it hard to let go of old formulas.
