Review of Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School (2006) by Radhika N — 03 Sep 2007
Boring! And I usually like dance movies. Pointless and drifty. Even the dance scenes were bad. John Goodman spoke in an alto which made you want to laugh even as he lay there dying. The movie had no heart and you really could not relate to all this grief the characters were supposed to be reeling from.
The main character who is miserable finds another person who is also miserable (and for not very good reasons) and they are happy being miserable together. Moral: misery loves company.
