Review of Autumn Sonata (1978) by Tony A — 13 Dec 2007
This is one of the most emotionally painful films I've ever seen. The feelings of hurt, guilt and remorse that transpire through the screen are overwhelming. Ingrid Bergman and Liv Ullmann give two of the greatest performances I've seen and Ingmar Bergman's direction and the precision of his camerawork is unparalelled.
A brilliant film.
