Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Cynthia S — 27 Mar 2011
I do not understand why this movie is so overrated. Neither it had dramatic moments nor wonderful performances. Some scenes are unnecessarily long but most important scenes are so inelaborate... Even it is not a deep movie with a social message.
I just like the Chaplin scene so much! When watching Chaplin there is no difference between kids like jew or catholic. They all smile and they all are most lovely kids of the world. Even the old boys.
