Review of Au Hasard Balthazar (1966) by Codie E — 19 Dec 2008
A lovely film, that sets at its centre a donkey; simple, yet so emotional in its little movements to the extent that he might as well have dialogue. But in having such a wonderful central 'character' everyone else in the film pales in comparison, and whenever Balthazar wasn't on screen I found myself less engaged.
