Just watched this again: 2nd time for me, 1st time for my 9 yr old son. Knowing what to expect, I found myself enjoying it more - the visual look/design is splendid (you can see the Hellboy-ish seeds here from Mike Mignola) and the story, while derivative, works quite well.
