Review of Ashes and Diamonds (1958) by Zuba B — 10 Sep 2007
Without doubt Wajda's best work. The diologue is poignant and expertly crafted. The direction and camera-work is uncanny. My only annoyance regarding this film is that the last minutes take a step down from the excellence that is the majority of the picture.
Overall, however, I haven't been this pleased with a film's overall production in some time.
