Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Jeff B — 15 Feb 2011
This movie was simply too strange for my tastes. Cary Grant was flummoxed the whole movie and the way the movie started--with his unusual marriage--really didn't provide anything for the character or any sort of interesting running storyline since it was all but abandoned for the rest of the film.
The main part of the film seemed like an old episode of "The Addams Family." It was funny, but not as awesome as I thought it might be given the people involved--mainly Capra and Grant.
