This movie cleverly realise it has Faye Dunaway on board and makes the most of it. Perfect writing; into lesser hands it could have been absurd but is infinitely revealing about the simultaneous fleetingness and grandeur of dreams.
When it goes for pure humour, it goes kinetic. When it goes for drama, it can crush you. Its always a few millimeters above ground yet has tons of gravitas.
