Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Thomas B — 28 Sep 2010
The most compelling story in this film is the story of a woman, who does what she must do in order to survive in a male dominated culture. In terms of look and feel, this western is as traditional as it gets, but the two-lone-gunmen-coming-into-town-to-kill-bad-guys-plot quickly takes a surprising yet pleasant turn, and the rest of the storyline is wonderfully unpredictable.
Still, no new ground is broken here - and it doesn't matter.
