Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Andre R — 03 Nov 2013
Appaloosa begins as a familiar western drawing from some very tiresome conventions. However, this is done for the sole purpose of defying them throughout the course of the film. As a result we have an unpredictable but engaging piece of cinema that doesn't sacrifice storytelling in order to conform with outdated plot structures.
