Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Andrei J — 22 Sep 2011

Finally. A western film worthy of being a western. A no nonsense protagonist played beautifully by Ed Harris and his mostly silent and skilled colleague (Mortensen) really seem like bad boys with good intentions and honor in their hearts.

I haven't read the book but to me, all the characters were very well portrayed in the film. Though the plot seems plain and formulaic, it plays out well in the movie and the pace doesn't seem to drop in my opinion.
