Review of Antonia's Line (1995) by Lindsay A — 15 Apr 2008
Has a similar tone to "Amelie," (the voiceover narrative, the quirky characters), but more feminist and serious. A kind of fairy tale and a truly different vision of life but also highly entertaining and convincing.
Very occasionally treads into the over-the-top or self-serious. The music is great.
