Maybe I just don't get Woody Allen, but I didn't laugh out loud anywhere in this film. Had a few good chuckles though. I was going to give this movie a lower rating, but then I realised that a lot of the things you see in this movie, you would have seen for the first time had you watched it in 1977.

Inner dialogue, talking directly to the camera in a wink to the audience, disjointed timelines, etc etc. This movie is definitely ground-breaking, introducing techniques that made works like "Ally McBeal", "Sex and the City" and "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" possible.

The film also manages to hold your attention without your needing to feel sympathetic to any of the characters - quite a feat for a romcom. Editing is superb. Not a wasted scene or line.
