Review of Annie Hall (1977) by The3Academysins — 01 May 2019
Annie Hall is Woody Allen's quirky, illogical, and yet completely true to life view on romance. Everything about this movie from the acting, to the direction, to the script is extremely well focused and never wavers from it's exploration of the unexpected and passionate relationship between Alvy and Annie.
Diane Keaton and Woody Allen have amazing chemistry, and they dominate the screen. Everything about Annie Hall is completely realistic, even under the neurotic lens of Allen's direction. Sometimes Alvy's neuroticism gets a bit grating, but overall, this is a movie that gets what an unexpected and short lived flame of a romance is.
