Review of Angel Face (1953) by Peter F — 21 Jul 2014
A film noir with a relatively conventional murder plot, but it's augmented by Jean Simmons' fierce turn as a femme-fatale, and a delectably dark sense of humor (mainly from Robert Mitchum's laconic protagonist).
Also of note: the film has a fairly predictable ending, that still manages to be very effective.
