A bizarre fable which turns even more bizarre come the final act with some clusmy emotional declarations from the two leads. Although the chemistry between the two leads does work you do not believe their sudden undying love for eachother. Coming from Luc Besson, the easiest compare is the relationship in The Fifth Element (also Besson) between Bruce Willis and Milla Jocavitch.
Funny and interesting throughout.
