Review of An American Crime (2007) by Jerem M — 22 Nov 2013
This movie commits the cardinal sin of a character narrating after death. Stop that, movies! It's preposterous. Aside from that, I presume the point of this movie is to vilify Keener's true-life criminal character.
But Keener plays her with such compassion that you wonder if you're supposed to feel sympathy. If that's the case, shame on the filmmakers, because this real-life crime was indeed sick and ugly.
