Review of American Sniper (2014) by Scott W — 24 Jun 2017

This is an important story to tell. I'm just not sure it's told in the best way. This is a well-made movie as most Clint Eastwood movies are. I just felt like there was something missing. I couldn't quite connect with it.

I felt like the war scenes were handled better than the scenes back at home. But even so, there is a sameness to the scenes in Iraq. And maybe that's the point. He kept going back to do the same thing over and over again.

There's nothing particularly wrong with this movie, it just didn't land for me as well as it should have.
