Aliens surpasses it's predecessor in every way. It was better paced, with some incredibly suspenseful scenes. Many characters are fully realized, with some pretty good acting. The action is phenomenal, consistently thrilling and engaging.
Sigourney Weaver is fantastic as Ripley, and her dynamic with a small girl gives a compelling mother daughter relationship. The tension built for the engaging action sequences is perfect. This is a smartly made Sci Fi thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat and warrants your full attention.
Aliens gets 5/5 stars (A+).
