Oliver Stone really needs to learn a lesson that Quentin Tarantino is conversant with: a character does not have to be morally excusable to be interesting. For God's sake, stop trying to sell us on Alexander's defense and just tell the authentically engaging story of an amoral war-crazy conqueror!
