Review of Adaptation. (2002) by Cameron J — 12 Nov 2013
I am stunned by this movie. It is both a hilarious comedy and, having watched his 4 most acclaimed movies (Synecdoche, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), I consider this his finest human drama as well.
He has a superb sense of humor which is backed by Jonze's visionary skill as a director. Everything is told to use simply and through oscar-worthy acting (I would have given the Oscar to Cage had he not have won already; Cooper is godlike and Streep is great as always).
This movie, as an aspiring writer myself, taught me a lot about writing and showed perfectly the lifestyle of writing. It's also unique and energetic and makes you think (not in the bad way; we want to know what's going on).
