Review of Action in the North Atlantic (1943) by Mara B — 22 Feb 2008
A decent old war propaganda movie made during WWII. Pluses: great acting on the part of Bogart, fast pace, action packed, and good special effects for the day. Minuses: sometimes cheesy dialogue, subtitles would have been nice during the few scenes with the German speaking sailors.
DVD also contains a newsreel and cartoon so you can really get a sense of what it was like to spend a night at the movies in the 1940s.
