Review of Action in the North Atlantic (1943) by Sylvester E — 25 Sep 2014
A rousing crowd-pleaser to keep Allied spirits high during World War II. Great role for Bogart as Joe Rossi, first officer on the Seawitch, taking goods from Halifax to Murmansk. Time and time again, he and his shipmates rise to the challenge in this well-directed propaganda piece.
Though it's over two hours long, you'd never know it from the wealth of action provided. Nice seeing Ruth Gordon, decades before fame in a much different role in Harold and Maude.
