You could definitely tell A Streetcar Named Desire was adapted from a play. I felt it was fairly light on plot, but the amazing acting is what makes it good. You can never go wrong with Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando, Kim Hunter, and Karl Malden all in the same movie.
In fact, this was the first time I had seen Kim Hunter not dressed as a chimp. This movie dragged from time to time, but the acting...perfect, especially Brando.
