Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Themumblelover . — 28 Feb 2015
Brando oozes charisma and method acting like never before. A film that still stands and shocks today, the imagery and symbolism Tennessee employed in his play are transferred to screen by Kazan (the original director of the stage play) with tension and poise of the camera shots, this film is so explosive that you walk around seeing an experience that's rare.
The acting and the writing is something else. Some of the best writing and acting committed to film.
