Review of A Simple Plan (1998) by Kris W — 04 Mar 2010
An excellent little film from Sam Raimi, A Simple Plan proves the director is capable of doing things better than Spiderman sequels and the awful Drag Me To Hell. Done in the vein of a greek tragedy, A Simple Plan forces us to ask the question "what would we do" in the same situation.
Chances are you would find yourselves doing things eerily similar to the characters in the film. There are some great performances here from Paxton, Briscoe, Ross and especially Billy Bob Thornton, who lends a credence to his character that has to be seen to be believed.
Highly recommended.
