Review of A Place in the Sun (1951) by Ameena M — 20 Apr 2008
Turned out to be quite different than I expected. It's a love story with no happily ever after. Montgomery Clift, no matter what role he played, always managed to bring out intensity in a subtle way.
His performance was deep, haunting, chilling and way ahead of its time. Definitely one of the more underrated screen legends.
