Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Joe K — 09 Oct 2009
Suprisingly strong sequel which thankfully follows the classic original rather than the ill conceived first sequel. It has strong characters including the returning Langenkamp and Saxon. The dreams are now bigger set pieces and sends the series in a different direction for better or worse.
Freddy does really start to get his one liners down in this one and we get a big helping of additional backstory both of which helped this sequel but ended up hurting future installments. A well cast, well written sequel which is a high point among the world of endless horror sequels.
