Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) by Rob M — 01 Sep 2017
The third installment in the Nightmare series continues the story that ended on the first with Heather Langenkamp reprising her role as seminal heroine and lone survivor Nancy. She gets herself employed as an intern at an adolescent psychiatric ward where teenagers are all experiencing the same dreams which feature the malevolent sandman Freddy Krueger.
The special effects are stunning and the cast have heart. Patricia Arquette makes her film debut in the main role of Kristen Paker. Craig Wasson and Laurence (Larry) Fishburne costar. The backstory of Freddy is told intermittently throughout the film resulting in a satisfactory conclusion.
