Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Jessica C — 26 Nov 2009
Having not seen this since it was in theaters, I found it for $5 at Ross (or maybe it was Marshall's, I can never tell the difference between those two places), and decided to pick it up. It's as good as I recall.
The performances from all involved, especially Angelina Jolie are perfect, and she gets lost in this role, and I could barely tell it was her; always a good thing. I greatly like how the (fantastic; 24 Hour Party People anyone?) director, Michael Winterbottom, focuses on the search for him, keeps things tense that way, without there being even a single explosion or ass-kicking scene (those are fun, but would have been terrible in this movie).
