Review of A Man for All Seasons (1966) by Lorna S — 03 Oct 2007
Has to be one of the best films of all time. Robert Bolt is such a super screenwriter, with a real ability to turn historical moral dilemmas into gripping film - as also seen in The Mission, another favourite.
Paul Scofield is brilliant, as is John Hurt in his first major role as the appalling Richard Rich. Cinematically stunning too.
