There's a lot of long, exasperating takes in this one that you'll either learn to love or learn to hate. A Ghost Story manages to tell a somber message through a uniquely-crafted story - filled with intrigue and sadness that oddly leaves the viewer perplexed on how the story is ultimately told.
The ending essentially boils down to an 'A' or 'B' choice - and it instead takes an unexpected 'C' route, which while confusing at first, solidifies its message.
