With a slow, almost still pace & long scenes & shots that feel as if they are never-ending, "A Ghost Story" is as unconventional as films come. Sometimes this technique works & sometimes it doesn't, it's up to the viewer to decide.
In its depth, "A Ghost Story" is a sad & sympathetic letter to humanity, to love, loss & remembrance. A letter, if I may add, which is delivered bewitchingly & splendidly by both Casey Affleck & Rooney Mara.
A hauntingly beautiful film that divides opinion due to its idiosyncratic & individualistic approach, "A Ghost Story" is definitely a film worth checking out.
