Review of A Bridge Too Far (1977) by William S — 30 Jan 2008
* Surprisingly Un-Bad *.
It starts slow, but then it's 2 1/2 hours of well-done, big-scale combat of all types, punctuated with effective ironic vignettes by the all-star (for the 1970s) cast, including Gene Hackman as a Polish general, doing the absolutely most ridiculous, terriblest foreign accent in the history of motion pictures.
