Review of 4.3.2.1 (2010) by Lewis E — 27 Nov 2010
I thought the decent adulthood would prove the start of a good career for noel clarke as a director. But I think I jumped the gun. The story tells the story of four girls who get mixed up in some diamond heist where each of the girls stories are told separately.
Im not hating on the plot structure but there was no real point to it as the scenes which link the stories are minor and all of them involved this note which was not even properly revealed, or at least had little relevance to the main story.
Never got the true understanding of michelle ryan's role while adam deacon and bashy played thugs who made next to no impact on the story whatsoever. I got a little enticed during the middle with the blond character's stint in new york being slightly humurous and to be honest noel clarke as the rude manager provided ten minutes of good watching.
But the ending, which seemed like it was taken straight out of CSI, was piss poor. The message of girl power will only make audiences take this film less seriously. All I can say is that the title links very well as I was counting down the seconds to when this crap fest would end.
