A complete mess; the biggest of its many, many problems is co-director/writer Noel Clarke giving himself a role even M. Night Shyamalan would consider self-serving. Emma Roberts deserves better, as does everyone who went to see this in cinemas (although there aren't many of the latter, based on the box office returns).
