Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Manuel S — 23 Jul 2010
The lack of soundtrack and the long tense silences give it a special feeling for the viewer to be inside the movie. The director really did well when trying to show you the urban feeling of the communist Romania, too cold, too sad, too silent, and maybe too dramatically unhopeful.
As talks about abortion, you can feel not only the physical pain but mostly the moral pain of killing a human being. It may help to understand the drama of abortion, no matter the year or country, but still I do not believe it is recommended for all audiences.
