Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Michael S — 22 May 2014
A pretty well filmed movie but certainly not perfect. Apart from the fact it was disturbing (it's a film about abortion so it's hard for it not to be) I'm pretty sure the director was trying to make a point but by the end of the movie I wasn't sure the point was promo choice or pro life.
From what I got, he was showing the downsides to both sides but I was left a bit uncertain. Also, some scenes were unnecessarily tedious and longwinded (the dinner with her boyfriend's family stands out).
It felt very real and authentic for the time and setting and left just the right bit of dread tingle down our spines throughout the film.
