Deeply uncomfortable viewing. Long, cold silences with no camera movement focus entirely on the very difficult central performance. Scenes seem to outstay their welcome so that you are willing something to happen.
Can't imagine a more depressing premise for a film than a backstreet abortion in Communist Romania. Can't say I enjoyed it but I appreciated it.
