Review of 2010 (1984) by Thorne W — 20 Jan 2009
Much more mainstream than its predecessor, and explains much that was left to the imagination. This makes it a good complement to the original, but nothing more. It seemed that the director was trying to be Kubrick with a lot of the movie, something that is impossible to do.
It was a good movie, and Floyd's monologue is somewhat moving. Overall, it seemed a little rushed, and out of place when compared to 2001.
