Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Jared S — 11 Oct 2013
If I had watched this in 1968, I would have been amazed at the visual effects and advanced electronic devices. Watching this in 2013 reveals an extremely slow paced and moderately pointless movie that seems obsessed with focusing on trivialities (and now outdated visual effects) while the main plot and dialog suffer from lack of attention.
The overall concept and high level plot of the movie still warrant three stars though.
