Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Andrew B — 04 Dec 2015
While the cinematography and production value is great for its time, the interminably long stretches where literally nothing happens make this an arduous film to sit through. As critically acclaimed as it is, I can't help but feel that this is the equivalent of "The Emperor's New Clothes.
" As a film connoisseur, you're supposed to love this movie for its numerous allegorical interpretations, but I can't for the life of me see what all the fuss is about.
