Review of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Aman A — 06 Dec 2016

Todi, you were right, it is a bloody trip! For some, it is a great trip. For others, a BT. I had a mix of both but I can see why in 1968, this movie could be hailed as one of the greatest in the genre.

It is a movie making marvel. It certainly makes you think and think a lot without forcing you to ever. It also touches on time travel ever so silently (actually silently) that you just sit back and think of the "Dawn of Man".

There were parts which I did not like but one thing I did like was the lack of explanations. The open ending thoughts and varied experiences in a movie that was commercially popular also is a feat like none other!
