Review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) by Tim G — 13 Oct 2011
This a brilliant Disney film. Kirk Douglas and James Mason are fantastic. The madness in Captain Nemo has real depth, which only adults will understand. The giant squid attack and the search for the monster will keep kids glued to it.
But the real story is Captain Nemo's isolation from the rest of the world and what made him turn to the sea. If you haven't watched this or haven't for a long time, then I guess it's time to pick it up and watch it.
You'll be suprised.
