Review of The Rose (1979) by Anthony C — 27 Jun 2009
Bette plays a loose interpretation of janis Joplin returning home now that she has fame and fortune. She is a tarnished star at best. She is so lonely she doesn't know where to find any happiness. I think that her portrayal of Janis was too real for my comfort.
I still mourn that blues singing gal.
